  • TalkTalk will be donating £5,000 to local charities by gifting runners with 20 golden tickets worth £250 at the Great Manchester Run
  • Rebecca Adlington OBE and gold-medal Olympic swimmer, has partnered with event sponsor, TalkTalk, to help hand out the golden tickets

Wednesday 18th May: Great Manchester Run’s connectivity partner and sponsor, TalkTalk, looks to increase the feel-good factor and raise community spirits at the event, by offering runners a funding boost.

The Salford-based brand will be gifting 20 runners with a golden ticket worth £250 to donate to a local charity of their choice. TalkTalk hopes the donations will help make the day even more memorable for the runners, whether they’re taking part to raise money in memory of a loved one or as a fitness goal.

Golden tickets will be randomly gifted to runners throughout the day at the TalkTalk finisher village stand. To claim their £250 donation, winners will be asked to share a picture of themselves with their golden ticket on their Instagram grid page, as well as tagging @TalkTalk, their local charity of choice and using the hashtag #TTGoldenTicket.

Becki Smith, General Manager of Future Fibre at TalkTalk, said:As a locally based business, we’re really excited to be sponsoring the Great Manchester Run and supporting the runners in their fundraising efforts. It means a lot to us to be able to give back to the local community and we hope our golden tickets will add that extra feel-good factor at the finish line.”

Known for giving back to the community and championing sports, TalkTalk has teamed up with Greater Manchester-based OBE and gold Olympic medal winner, Rebecca Adlington, to hand out some of the golden tickets at TalkTalk’s finisher village.

Rebecca will be handing out tickets between 11am – 12pm at the finisher village, which will also feature a chill-out zone, a podium for posing, a pic ‘n’ mix station and a face painter.
