TalkTalk Business changes leadership structure to focus on a full fibre future

TalkTalk Business (TTB) has announced a reshuffle of its senior leadership team to drive and shape the growth of one of the UK’s largest B2B providers of broadband, fibre and ethernet data services.  

Ruth Kennedy, currently Director for Carrier and SI’s, will move to a brand-new role reporting directly into the CEO to lead and build a new team looking specially at Business Development across all business units. Ruth will lead a strategic team that will focus on creating long-term value by utilising TalkTalk assets, customers and relationships to identify new revenue streams, or expanding existing ones, bringing incremental value to TalkTalk and its Partners.

Richard Thompson, Managing Director of Indirect, will now expand his current role as the Director of Partners to take on Carrier and SI alongside the Marketing and Partner Sales teams, with a view on encompassing all our indirect channels to market.

Ruth Kennedy
Business Development Director, TalkTalk Business

Ruth joined TalkTalk Business in 2011, having previously been in various roles in the B2B industry. Ruth has held a variety of role in TalkTalk Business, more recently she held the position of Director for Carrier and SI’s, where she focused on developing and enhancing the Wholesale Data and Voice offering to expand and evolve Carrier & SI channels.

Ruth is passionate about building strategic relationships and ensuring that collaboration and customer centricity is at the heart of everything her team delivers. It is through this drive, that she will successfully lead and build TalkTalk Business Development team and explore the opportunities this will bring to TalkTalk as a whole and its Partners in her new role of Group Business Development Director.

Richard Thompson
Managing Director of Indirect, TalkTalk Business

Former England Basketball player Richard Thompson is responsible for helping our Partner community capitalise on TalkTalk Business’ innovative Next Generation converged Voice and Data services. Steering reliable and cost-effective products and services that complement our Partners’ own capabilities, he helps each build long-term, sustainable market share and introduce new disruptive models.

Richard has been part of the TalkTalk Business team since joining as a graduate 16 years ago in Partner Sales as an Account Manager and went on to fulfil a variety of roles in business and commercial strategy. When the opportunity presented itself to lead the partner and expanded indirect business unit, he jumped at it. It is the largest and most important part of our organisation and very much the growth engine of TalkTalk Business, which he believes makes it an exciting place to work.
