The role
In this new and exciting role of Technical Demand Manager, you’ll be given the opportunity to streamline the engagement between the business and technology functions, as a key member of the Software Delivery Office, which is at the forefront of ensuring our wider software function is delivering the underpinning TalkTalk OnePlan.
In your role as Technical Demand Manager, you’ll provide confidence that the demand for the technology function is managed efficiently and transparently providing an excellent cross-department service. You’ll also input into the integrated technology delivery plan that underpins the achievement of strategic OnePlan objectives.

Your responsibilities
You’ll own the entry of all Product and Technology requirements into Technology Delivery, whilst facilitating the demand process to provide the business with a reliable service against defined SLAs.
Whilst collaborating with 3rd Parties to ensure approved requirements flow into suppliers, you’ll engage with TalkTalk Technology towers to facilitate the creation of high-level Estimates for prioritised demand.
You’ll work closely with Technical Delivery Assurance Manager to incorporate new demand into the existing integrated plan, forecast demand to support resourcing decisions, and ensure the Demand function is consistently delivering to required SLAs.
Co-ordinating with the wider business and Technology Delivery for annual business planning, you’ll have oversight and be responsible for reporting on the overall business budget.
To be successful in the role
Essential:
Proven experience of working as a Demand Manager, Project Manager or with identifiable transferable skills in technology environments.
An understanding of software delivery processes, including estimation and delivery models that span multiple teams and technologies.
Great stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence where required through
The desire to continuously improve processes and ways of working to contribute to the evolution of the technical delivery function.
A driven individual who wants to shape and grow not only the role but the wider function as a whole.
Desirable:
Working knowledge of TalkTalk’s BSS & OSS technology stack (internal applicants only)
Experience in Agile, software testing or development and/or with Remedy.
