The role

Reporting into the Head of Marketing Wholesale Services, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, creative and commercially savvy, B2B Senior Marketing Manager to join our team.

As the B2B Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for establishing yourself as a value-adding member of the Marketing and Sales team in helping to build out our brand and establish, grow and support our sales map and pipeline of partners.

Helping to shape our B2B Marketing function, you will play a huge role in aiding the development of our brand strategy, brand research tracking, content development, events and creative design to deliver deeper engagement and support the demand generation and commercial team deliver business growth.

The team

Currently you will have 4 direct reports 1 Content Marketing Manager, 1 Digital Marketing Executive, 1 Graphic Designer & 1 Events Coordinator.

You will also work with a Marketing team of 11 including the Head of Marketing, 2 Senior Marketing Managers, 3 Marketing Managers, 1 Content Marketing Manager, 2 Marketing Executives, 1 Graphic Designer & an Events Coordinator.

Your responsibilities

  • BRAND: Develop, actively manage & execute a strong brand including brand strategy execution, brand tracking research and brand governance.  Responsible for overall quality control & adherence to governance, risk management & exceptional stakeholder management

  • ROADMAP: Develop, implement, and execute content, creative, digital & events according to the B2B marketing road map and plans that aligns itself to strategic goals and business OKRs.

  • AGENCIES & BUDGET: Oversight & active management of agencies ensuring adherence to budget, brand, delivery timelines.

  • MARKETING PLANNING: Responsible for delivery of the brand campaign, content, digital/social and events plans into the annual marketing planning process.

  • TEAM MANAGEMENT: Management of the shared services brand & content team - Content Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Exec, Graphic Designer & Events Co-ordinator ensuring effective delivery of their respective objectives and project deliverables.

  • ROI - responsible for measuring & reporting on the effectiveness of content, digital and creative for brand campaigns & as part of the partner facing campaigns.

  • Working with the content marketing manager on developing a Content Strategy annually to

    • Develop the brand narratives & deliver incremental growth of brand health metrics.

    • Content & creative to supporting integrated marketing campaigns aimed at effective acquisition, cross-sell and upsell campaigns generating demand and lead conversion.

    • Develop engaging content for our website page, including that of white papers, blogs etc... in collaboration with the Content Marketing Manager

  • Regularly review brand & marketing collateral so that it is kept up-to-date and relevant for our audience as well as aligning with brand guidelines.

  • Managing & develop the Digital Marketing Exec to create & deliver a digital marketing plan to improve key metrics across the digital estate including all social media channels, websites and other digital assets.

  • Manage the events coordinator to deliver events, exhibitions and sponsorships according to plan.

Skills required to be successful in the role

  • Senior B2B Marketing Manager preferably with experience from the telecoms, fibre, utilities or energy sectors

  • Passionate about brand and creative strategy & execution

  • People management experience

  • Experience in marketing automation using Pardot, Hubspot and other relevant tools would be useful

  • A strategic & analytical thinker with strong commercial acumen, awareness, and focus.

  • A self-starter, used to working cross-functionally and collaboratively to drive great results.

  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Enjoys the opportunity to try new approaches and overcome challenges.

  • Is research driven, with a strong data driven mindset.

  • Exceptional planning, time-management and organisational skills with an eye for detail.

  • Strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Ability to operate strategically whilst being executional in approach.

  • The ability to get things delivered and achieve strong ROI results.
