Senior Commercial Propositions Manager

The Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for defining, developing and implementing our proposition strategy. You’ll manage a complex set of stakeholders, from Marketing to Product, always ensuring that the voice of the customer is represented in everything we create, across all TalkTalk Business Wholesale products.
The Senior Commercial Manager should focus on growing TalkTalk’s Wholesale Services by bringing innovative, customer-orientated propositions that embody our challenger spirit and maximise our market share.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, defining key customer and market insights, identifying target audiences, creating and owning business cases, the propositions strategies and roadmap to unlock these and the execution plan to make these a reality in the market. You’ll also define and measure any relevant performance targets against the business case.
The role also involves the management of two people and will have a Commercial Manager supporting you in delivering your propositions roadmap by providing business case support and analytical reports as requested by you.
The Commercial Operations Team are responsible for delivering the TTBWS strategy, which focuses on delivering long-term value and customer growth at TalkTalk. We’re accountable for the strategy for new and existing customers and coordinate with many stakeholders across the Business Wholesale Services Unit.

Your role will interact with the TTBWS leadership team, with main interactions with the People Director, Sales Director.
Your responsibilities include:
A constant focus on the external environment (market, customers and competition) to make sure we always have our finger on the pulse and make informed decisions.
Understands the commercial objectives that underpin our ambition taking inputs from customer research, behaviour trends and market context to develop compelling customer propositions.
Work closely with the Product Team providing clear product requirements and ongoing liaison with them throughout the product discovery, development and lifecycle management.
Develop brilliant and effective ways of working with key teams such as Product and Finance, to ensure the successful delivery of the commercial propositions.
Define the commercial propositions processes and governance ensuring the wider business is kept up to date with these and any ongoing changes.
Create and own the commercial propositions roadmap and ensure it’s aligned with product and other key areas such as Marketing.
Works closely with Sales and Commercial to align thinking, ensuring that propositions are targeted, positioned correctly and meet customer needs and expectations.
Displays excellent Go to Market for all new propositions prior to launch to ensure we are monitoring success in market and identifying areas of improvement.
Owns the proposition P&L as a component of the overall Business Unit P&L
Support on the day-to-day management where required, of in-life propositions.
Accountable for creating and managing business cases to ensure that products and propositions are prioritised correctly to support the business objectives.
Build and execute a base management proposition plan with persona specific treatments to support retaining and growing our existing base.
This role will provide direction and guidance to the Commercial Manager – Propositions role, to ensure that the Propositions Team are a success.
You will bring energy to the commercial function and be able to deliver goals whilst supporting the development of others through management.
To be successful in this role
Excellent planning skills and be experienced in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
You will be an excellent communicator and storyteller with experience selling in new propositions to a senior audience.
Great stakeholder management managing multiple opinions/requirements with the ability to present to all levels up to MD.
A strategic and applied thinker with unwavering attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills.
The ability to prioritise/manage work stack, take ownership and show resilience when needed.
Previous experience in managing team members and setting clear OKRs.
Proven track record in commercial/proposition or product development roles.
