Key Accountabilities

  • Finance System Owner for the finance systems, ensuring they are functioning securely, reliably and effectively: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Netsuite, Finance Azure Data Lake, Medius, Floqast, IFRS15
  • Administer until the point of decommissioning the legacy systems of Dynamics AX, Precision Point and HFM
  • Manage the interfaces between Dynamics 365 and third party interfaces
  • Lead the relationship with third party providers and internal technical teams for the management of upgrades, development and incident resolution.
  • Govern the chart of account business rules and maintain system configuration & documentation, ensuring that all configurations are consistently maintained in line with policy.  
  • Act as a superuser for the Microsoft Dynamics, providing support to all departments across the business to utilise the system to its maximum capability.
  • Manage the financial reporting tools for the timely distribution of standard and customised financial reports that provide insight and support decision making. 
  • Data owner responsible for integrity, retention and protection of all data in the finance systems and the establishment of processes and workflows to accurate, timely data transfer through system interfaces to ensure accurate recording and management of financial information 
  • Monitor all system interfaces, and triage / resolve issues in line with the support models to ensure data transfers are complete and accurate 
  • Accountable for the administration control of the finance systems, ensuring triaging / 1st line support within SLA and compliance to the joiners, movers, leavers process.  
  • Develop & maintain the Finance Systems control framework to ensure access is secure, up-to-date and meets functional and audit requirements.  Provision of finance system data / information for both external and internal audit.
  • As Finance System Subject Matter Expert, operate as part of cross functional teams, to deliver the implementation and upgrade of systems.  Responsible for inputs into ideas generation, functional requirements specification, system process redesign, data migration validation, system downtime communications, user acceptance testing and business readiness decisions.
  • Ensure appropriate training is provided to all users of the Financial Systems.  
  • Demonstrate strong people leadership skills to create a high performing team. 

Experience Required 

  • Extensive finance knowledge & experience of finance system administration
  • Previous experience maintaining and developing a commercial ERP financial system 
  • Proven track record of being able to deliver complex projects on time
  • Stakeholder management at all levels of an organisation and delivering services within SLA
  • Experience supporting an accounting function, with a good understanding of transaction processing, finance & management reporting and consolidation
  • Strong interest in technology and data and looking to combine your finance skills with technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Attention to detail with ‘completer-finisher’ and problem solver mentality 
  • Ability to manage own workload including the prioritisation of tasks


Desirable

  • A professional accounting qualification or part qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA or ACA would be beneficial 
  • Experience in a Finance Technology environment (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Modules: General Ledger, Cash Management, Fixed Asset, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Accounts Payable).
  • Hyperion (HFM / HDM)
  • Precision Point 
  • Knowledge and use of Power Platform applications, such as PowerBI would be advantageous
  • PL/SQL Skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, and ability write and maintain macros would be a benefit
  • Experience of transitioning to a new ERP
