Product Manager – Complex Voice

The role

In this new and exciting role of Product Manager – Complex Voice at TalkTalk Business Wholesale Services you’ll support the development of the product sets to execute the strategic business roadmap, as well as our proposition set by creating and maintaining virtual teams through collaboration and mutual goal achievement.

You’ll be responsible for developing a compelling and high-performing Voice proposition by engaging internal stakeholders and key customers to understand their needs, requirements and challenges, whilst ensuring that TalkTalk Business Wholesale Services not only delivers new, highly compelling offerings to market but also help to address end of life and legacy solutions. These will be underpinned through your developing a deep understanding of the wider marketplace, the key players, competitors, technologies, and future trends.

This Product Manager – Complex Voice opportunity would be ideally suited to you as an ambitious person with comparable experience and a proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines and exceeding product performance targets within the IT and/or Telecoms markets.

Your responsibilities

  • You’ll partner with the Product Strategy Director, and the Head of Wholesale Voice to create the vision, strategy, deliverables and timescales for the Voice roadmap.

  • Collaborating with Product Operations, Commercial, Automation, Marketing, and other internal teams, you’ll ensure that the Wholesale Business Broadband roadmap milestones are delivered on time and within budget.

  • You’ll liaise with Sales, Marketing, Product Marketing, Technology and Operations to ensure that both new products and enhancements are launched successfully to both internal and external audiences.

  • Collaborating with Marketing and Product Marketing to create highly compelling materials and collateral, including blogs, press releases and webinars, you’ll also identify new areas of revenue opportunities via product enhancement.

  • You’ll ensure TalkTalk Business Wholesale Services continues to offer thought leadership to the market on relevant topics and future developments, represent TalkTalk Business Wholesale Services and our strategic vision at industry bodies and events, and help identify opportunities through tailoring products and services to key vertical markets.

  • Whilst ensuring our Wholesale Business Broadband propositions are performing in line with budget expectations, you’ll partner with Sales, Support, Operations and Marketing to address areas of concern, such as performance behind budget, poor product line performance or poor customer experience.

  • You’ll be accountable for achieving excellence in the customer experience, product roadmap delivery vs Targets, and product health metrics, such as NPS and delivery times.

To be successful in this role


  • Proven track record as a Product Manager, delivering to tight deadlines and exceeding product performance targets within the IT and/or Telecoms markets.

  • A flexible and dynamic approach to overcoming obstacles and achieving goals, with the energy and enthusiasm to be a proposition champion both internally and externally.

  • The ability to think strategically and demonstrate a sound understanding of the go-to-market gates for the ongoing implementation of the proposition, and the ability to think ahead of trends and spot opportunities to enhance value.

  • Commercial acumen, with must have a good grasp of commercial scenarios, problem-solving, break-even points and return on investment analysis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to collaboratively communicate ideas, drive change and improve product success through the optimisation of processes.

  • Salesforce and MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.

  • The willingness to travel within the UK and internationally on occasion.


  • Knowledge of the Voice and Wholesale Voice markets, with other complementary technologies and services including UCaaS, CCaaS, SIP, and Inbound numbering and familiarity with the market-leading Voice propositions.
