The Role
In this exciting role of Product Go To Market Manager – Cloud and Security at TalkTalk Business Wholesale Services, you’ll support the Go to Marketing activity and help achieve the strategic business budget and objectives by being the subject matter expert and evangelist for the specific proposition. You will support the creation of our propositions by creating and maintaining virtual teams through collaboration and mutual goal achievement.
You’ll also ensure we have relevant, compelling and high-performing propositions for our chosen target markets, and their end customers. You will achieve this by developing a deep understanding of our marketplace and its trends by engaging vendors, key partners and internal stakeholders. You will communicate this understanding and vision effectively, both internally and externally, in order to define the proposition and its relevance to the delivery of business value in the target markets.

This Product Go To Market Manager opportunity would be ideally suited to an ambitious person with comparable experience and a proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines and exceeding product performance targets within the IT and/or Telecoms markets.
Your responsibilities
- Define the target markets and key personas for Cloud and Security; understanding their needs, influences on buying criteria, and the communication media and styles that will reach them
- Use this understanding to drive lead generation activity through sales enablement, product and proposition development from both the given product set, and the wider group.
- To work with the Product Strategy Director, and the Head of Cloud and Security and the associated Product Managers to constantly improve and align the proposition to new market forces and trends.
- Work with Commercial Propositions team to develop and deliver commercial packages that meet the requirements of your target markets
- To assume responsibility for the creation and delivery of targeted, high-quality, timely and effective lead generation activity to stimulate pipeline growth, conversion and ultimately deliver group financial performance
- You’ll liaise with Sales, Marketing, Products to ensure that both new products and enhancements to existing services are launched successfully and effectively to our external audiences, whilst identifying new areas of revenue opportunities via product enhancement.
- To drive and own all relevant customer-facing collateral and sales enablement materials for all new product and service developments, working closely with the Product & Marketing teams on its production, to deliver a consistent message across all portfolio collateral. This would include Sales Briefings, blogs, sales collateral development, press releases, Partner enablement packs and webinars.
- You’ll ensure TalkTalk Business Wholesale Services continues to offer thought leadership to the market on relevant topics and future developments, represent TalkTalk Business Wholesale Services and our strategic vision at industry bodies and events, and help identify opportunities through tailoring products and services to key vertical markets.
- Achieve and exceed per-product performance KPI targets – sales, lead generation, pipeline etc. with monthly reporting back to key stakeholders with suggested improvements.
- Based upon this performance you’ll partner with Sales, product and marketing to initiate any activity required to address low performance, or to capitalise on its success
- Develop innovative, event based, content led digital and webinar based marketing campaigns that increase awareness across a range of media to optimise web hits, clicks and, download requests to deliver lead conversion
Role expectations
- Proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines and exceeding product performance targets within the IT and/or Telecoms markets.
- Be an experienced Product Marketeer, with a demonstrable track record for launching highly compelling and financially successful campaigns
- Knowledge of the Cloud and Security markets, with other complementary technologies and services being advantageous.
- A flexible and dynamic approach to overcoming obstacles and achieving goals, with the energy and enthusiasm to be a proposition champion both internally and externally.
- The ability to think strategically and to demonstrate a sound understanding of the go-to-market gates for the ongoing implementation of the Proposition, and the ability to think ahead of trends and spot opportunities to enhance value.
- Commercial acumen, with must have a good grasp of commercial scenarios, problem-solving, break-even points and return on investment analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to collaboratively communicate ideas, drive change and improve product success through the optimisation of processes.
- Salesforce and MS office – Including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Familiarity with the market leading Business Connectivity product and vendor propositions is highly preferred.
- The willingness to travel within the UK and internationally on occasion.
