About the Role

Reporting in to the Procurement Operations Manager, you will ensure the operational and tactical delivery of the Procurement Operations Team through leading and motivating them to deliver results via Systems and Reporting to support the Procurement Team and the Purchase to Procurement users.

Role Expectations

  • Driving for Results – with prior experience of managing a small team,, you will have the ability to create a clear plan and drive its execution, ensuring that deadlines are met whether that be for a defined output for colleagues, or an audit for example.

  • Problem-solving – Able to find solutions to complex requirements using out of the box technology, and meeting the needs of the Category Teams in order to perform their duties

  • Analytical – With a keen eye for detail, the role-holder will be able to take the requests for information from the Procurement team and interpret that into meaningful and useful output

  • Continuous Improvement – Drive improvements to Source to Pay processes where possible to ensure that the user group is continually improving their adherence to best practice.

  • Compliance - Ensure compliance with external policies, standards and regulation (e.g. GDPR, ISO9001, Business Payment Practices & Performance etc) and ensure audit findings are managed appropriately.

  • Stakeholder Engagement – Has the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and use a network of relationships to influence and solve problems

About You

  • You will be very familiar in all areas of Procurement and be able to adapt to the changing requirements of a team

  • Used to working in a dynamic environment and ensuring that the team use the tools and data at hand to perform their role.

  • You will be able to identify any areas for process improvement and implement change where needed

  • The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to drive results, build relationships, innovate and maintain customer first focus, while ensuring that close engagement with senior stakeholders is maintained.
