Interim Senior Manager - Group FP&A
About The Role:
The role sits within Group Planning and Performance and will require working with the existing team to understand existing processes and design and build solutions in order to reduce the time spent consolidating results and plans, allowing the team to focus on analysis and value-add activities in the longer term. The role is expected to be very hands-on in with developing models and building out reporting capability.
Specific process improvement projects are likely to include:
To define and shape the future FP&A reporting needs for the new ERP implementation
Review of P&L and KPI reporting processes and developing methods to automate management information
Delivery of improved cashflow reporting to reduce time and increase accuracy and understanding
Delivery of improved balance sheet reporting to reduce time and increase accuracy and understanding
Building a balance sheet and cashflow planning model to bring together direct and indirect forecasting methodologies
Review planning models to understand current processes and build an alternative solution increasing agility and ability to analyse budgets and forecasts
There will also be times where the role will be asked to support other teams within Group Planning and Performance, be it sense-checking 3YP assumptions, reviewing Budget or month end packs or producing month end packs. As such flexibility is key.
Skills and Requirements
Essential:
Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with relevant post qualified experience
Demonstrable experience of building financial models and process improvement
Advanced excel skills
Experience in an FP&A role
Prior exposure to cash flow and balance sheet reporting
Flexible to change
Analytical, quick to grasp the fundamentals of a business
Diligent, logical and quantitative in approach
Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-moving and changeable environment
Preferred:
Previous experience in Telecoms or equivalent setting beneficial but not essential
Power BI and HFM experience
Prior experience as a Senior Finance Manager or equivalent
Commercially astute individual from an analytical role within a data-rich business
Communication and relationship building skills to enable you to interface and challenge a wide variety of stakeholders within and outside the business
