Interim Senior Finance Project Manager

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, execute, and deliver projects within strict deadlines, including the identification of resources and coordinating the efforts of the internal team and third-party members to deliver scope according to plan
  • Create business cases for delivery where required and ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget to deliver value for money.
  • Establish a clear and concise scope and project plan by identifying detailed requirements, designing finance change and gathering inputs from internal stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to track progress and actions, and manage risks and issues, to maintain a clear understanding of risks, dependencies and progress.
  • Effectively deliver project communications through regular team updates, reporting and formalising decisions at relevant overall programme governance meetings
  • Engage with functional leadership to facilitate understanding, buy-in and required input from relevant stakeholders of finance impacting projects and initiatives across the business.
  • Contribute to programme designs through the identification and input of finance requirements that deliver both commercially viable propositions and are facilitate operational finance delivery
  • Understand and communicate financial standards, processes and systems of the business, to allow the design of optimised solutions that deliver technically complete, accurate, automated financial reporting solutions within the governance framework
  • Drive alignment between Management Accounting, Statutory Accounting and Board Reporting approaches including reporting, recharge methodologies and intercompany accounting
  • Adhoc support on any overarching programme deliverables as required, including finance process design
  • Develop a network of relevant Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders across the business and collaborative effectively to support align of goals and delivery the project roadmap
  • Conduct change impact analyses, assess change readiness, set goals and identify key stakeholders for end-to-end project delivery
  • Develop and implement change management strategies including changes across technology, process and people by facilitating workshops and training, developing deliverables, delivering communications, and managing stakeholders expectations
  • Build people-centred change, technical and specialist skills for our people through finance development programmes


Essential Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Project management understanding and experience.
  • Proven organisational skills and comfortable with scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of influencing stakeholders and sponsors, demonstrated by interpersonal excellence with differing levels of seniority - from graduate to executive level.
  • Strong problem solver with intellectual curiosity and a "can-do" attitude
  • Be comfortable operating in sometimes ambiguous situations, demonstrating a flexible and collaborative personal working style
