Interim Senior Finance Manager -Core Finance
Why is this role key to our business?
The Senior Finance Manager in our Core Finance Team is there to ensure we report accurately and in accordance with our corporate governance requirements, ensure the business meets requirements from changes in audit standards and delivers a successful financial audit review process.
You will work across the Core Finance team to ensure a high quality of reporting, analysis and planning is delivered to the business, help shape and drive the continuous improvement culture of the department as well as develop our financial and reporting capabilities to provide improved insight.
How will I add value in this role?
Lead projects within the business that will support and improve our financial reporting or are part of reporting requirements
Create effective process, workflow and systems designs to drive efficiency and a culture of continuous improvement (accuracy, simplification, control, automation, efficiency, collaboration etc.)
Work with other teams throughout the business to drive improved processes, controls and information within Core Finance
Roll out improved processes and training to Core Finance
Maintain controls and governance procedures
What do I need in order to deliver this role?
Must have:
Qualified Accountant with strong academics
Credibility with strong influencing & negotiation skills
Managing multiple stakeholders
Tenacity and drive to perform to a high standard in a fast paced environment
Strong analytical and commercial skills
Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
Technical accounting knowledge
Be great to also have:
A positive and flexible approach to work
Time management skills
Demonstrated process improvement experience
Strong project management skills, capable of working in a deadline driven environment
Demonstrated understanding of business issues
