Commercial Operations Manager
The Role
As we step up the acceleration of FTTP, we want to bring more choice to our customers by alternative networks (Alt-Nets). In doing so TalkTalk will create a distinct and competitive edge in the market, driving business growth and delivering more value to our customers, supporting our full fibre strategy.
To achieve this, it is imperative that we develop and establish strong relationships with new and current Alt-Nets. This creates the rare opportunity for a talented professional to play a pivotal role as the key Contract Manager for our new & existing Alt-Nets, ensuring supply, business readiness and ongoing contract management for the success of our Altnet partnerships.

As a well-respected and credible professional, you will take contractual ownership of our current and new Alt-Net partners maximising our ability to deliver FTTP at scale, adding value in this role will require the following responsibilities to be executed:
- Work closely with Group Commercial, Legal and Operational functions aligning across the BU’s
- Lead, maintain and develop contractual relationships with the agreed Alt Nets
- Report to the Group Fibre Development Director ensuring alignment on contract management risks & issues.
- Responsible for the improvement and simplification of all contracts, using Data Analysis
- Socialising mechanics and principles of all contracts with all Business Units across TTG
- Driving Contractual adoption and adherence across Trading and Ops teams
- Weekly Exco updates inc Trading Performance vs Contractual commitments, risks, issues & escalations, strategic & in-play activities, asks of the business, initiatives to drive growth
- Approval of forecasts prior to submission
- E2E ownership, negotiation and closure of in-life commercials
- Support Budgeting outlook vs contractual commitments
- Daily management of obligations, inc risk management, tracking MVGs, compliance concerns, network build
- Support Finance, Accounting and Data Insight teams with tracking development of contracts
- Own timely communication of installation forecasts to Suppliers
- Support Finance and FTTP Taskforce to agree forecast in line with budget assumptions (monthly)
- Central Coordination of in-life commercial initiatives
- Altnet City Lists- liaise with S&P commercial team on analysis and recommendations
- Update on Contractual commits, risks, issues and escalations
- Support accounting teams on Invoicing and reconciliation
- Support new product commercials

The Altnet Commercial Operations Manager will have the following prior experience:
- The ability to work at a strategic commercial and contract level.
- Background in the telecoms sector and a strong understanding of industry trends and insights with the ability to utilise this to build credible and lasting internal and external relationships at the most senior level.
- Ability to build “C suite” level relationships across a wide range of organisations and the gravitas to command respect.
- Ability to be an external ambassador for TTG consistently demonstrating our values.
