Business Manager - Wholesale Services

The role
TalkTalk Group’s Wholesale arm is on a growth trajectory across its B-to-C and B-to-B units. The effectiveness of our organisation and our ability to bridge the strategy-execution gap is critical to our long-term success.
Reporting into the Head of Strategy & Performance, the Business Manager has a direct and significant impact on the performance of the Wholesale business units.
You will bring energy and expertise as an advisor (strategic thought partner), an organiser (bringing method and structure) and an integrator (creating alignment).
The primary objectives of the role are:
Oversee the execution of the strategy through action plans and OKRs Communicate the strategic narrative Improve organisational effectiveness
Your responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:
Strategy execution
Assist the Head of Strategy & Performance with annual planning
Work as a thought partner with the Leadership Teams to translate the strategy into actionable goals and plans
Own the OKR playbook, oversee the operating rhythm and be an OKR coach to the business units
Own the business units high-level action plan and issue the monthly OKR scorecard
Facilitate the unblocking of issues and challenges through analysis and organisation
Strategic narrative
Maintain a birds-eye view of business units’ all-around performance and serve as a subject-matter-expert
Evangelise the strategy into a business unit-specific comms & engagement plan
Synthesise complex information into compelling content for audiences such as the business unit Managing Directors, Group Senior Leadership Team, Executive Committee, and Group Board.
Organizational effectiveness
Ensure Governance rhythm is defined, optimised, documented, and managed effectively – and is responsible for fine-tuning it in collaboration with the business unit Leadership Team.
Attend business unit-specific governance (such as Product Board, Commercial Board etc.)
Working closely with the Leadership Team and the People teams, make recommendations to continuously improve the organization’s effectiveness.
To be successful in this role you will need the following in your skill set:
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, or strong relevant professional experience
Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
Experience in planning and leading initiatives
Excellent stakeholder management across the hierarchy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Listening, questioning and facilitation skills
Methodological, strategic thinker and data-driven in approach to solving problems
Preferred
OKR coach qualification or proven record of successful OKRs implementation
Proven record of delivery and ability to self-start with a ‘can do’ attitude
Nimble business mind with an eye for detail and a focus on problem solving
Jack-of-all-trade: Versatile abilities with cross-functional experiences and curious to keep learning
Experience synthesizing complex information into compelling and memorable presentations and/or papers
Experience in Telecommunications market, and keeps up to date with industry
