TalkTalk and Founders Forum today introduce the ultimate business pitch opportunity for budding young entrepreneurs.
The search begins for ten young tech leaders of the future to present to a star-studded panel and an audience of the world’s leading business pioneers; one individual or team will win £10,000 to bring an idea to life.
Applications are now open at ffactor.me for budding young tech entrepreneurs aged between 14 and 25 to secure one of the ten finalist places at the Founders Forum in London in June 2015.
Sir Charles Dunstone, TalkTalk founder and judge of The F Factor, says: ‘Good business ideas can come from anywhere and, often, the best ones don’t come from the boardroom. To win the F Factor you don’t need a business plan or experience – we want to see your enthusiasm and an idea with investment potential.’
Brent Hoberman, of Founders Forum, the network for leading digital and tech entrepreneurs, says: ‘We’re helping young people get in front of inspirational investors and world-class technology entrepreneurs. Whoever you are, and wherever you are in the UK, we want to hear from you!’
Interested in taking part? You don't need a business plan or have any relevant experience, and you might be still at school or university. All you need is the start of a great idea and loads of enthusiasm to persuade the judges to invest in them.
As well as a cash prize of £10,000, the finalists will also get the chance to meet and pitch to some of the most amazing business leaders and venture capitalists in the world including Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn), Niklas Zennstrom (Skype), Phil Libin (Evernote), Garrett Camp (Uber), Kevin Ryan (Gilt Group), Baroness Martha Lane Fox (Go-On UK), Archie Norman (ITV) and Jim McKelvey (Square).
Entrants must submit an original idea, in 140 characters or less, for a new technology business, plus a short video about themselves to impress the judges. They must also be aged between 14 and 25.
Not only will the 10 finalists be invited to attend the Founders Forum in London on 18th June 2015 and pitch their idea, they will also have the opportunity to attend a workshop day prior to the event where they will receive expert help in pitching their idea, be it an app, a game or a brilliant business idea.
The closing date for entrees is midnight on 5th May 2015 and applicants can enter via the F Factor website.
