Rylan launches nationwide search for stars!

TalkTalk TV launches new competition for a family or group to win a professionally produced music video starring X Factor’s Rylan Clark

TalkTalk TV, proud sponsors of The X Factor, is giving one lucky family or group the chance to star in a music video.

The TalkTalk Spotlight competition will offer families, schools, friends and performance groups the chance to star alongside Rylan Clark and other famous faces from The X Factor, in their own professionally produced music video and appear on the TalkTalk TV player, reaching over a million homes across the country.

A glam squad of professional hair stylists and make-up artists will perfect the performers’ look before they hit the stage. If that's not enough, stars of the performance will receive the full red carpet treatment complete with paparazzi, press and screaming fans.

To enter, families and groups simply have to visit and tell TalkTalk TV why they deserve to be chosen.  Entrants can also include a link to a video showing off their star quality, to give the judges a taste of their talent.


Rylan Clark said:  “I had an amazing time on The X Factor and it changed my life. Giving something back to my fans is important to me and Spotlight is a chance for me to give a special group their own lucky break this Christmas. I’m going to make them feel like celebrities for the day!


The competition builds on the success of the brand new TalkTalk TV Mix off app, which lets X Factor fans make their own music video for the chance to star on TV during The X Factor ad breaks. Fans can recreate their favourite boy band dance routine or channel their inner diva, its another way for TalkTalk homes and fans of The X Factor to get even closer to the show.  

Over the last year YouView from TalkTalk, Britain’s fastest growing TV service, has gone from strength to strength offering flexible TV, catch-up and on demand content, to its 1.1 million customers. The revamped TalkTalk Player brings even more blockbusters and hit shows to homes, and it has bolstered its Plus TV package by adding seven Sky entertainment channels including Sky 1 and Sky Living.

TalkTalk’s sponsorship gives its 4 million homes the chance to win thousands of money-can’t-buy tickets to The X Factor Live Final. The sponsorship also brings fans and TalkTalk customers closer to The X Factor via ticket competitions to the live shows and sound checks.

The TalkTalk Spotlight competition is open to UK residents and closes on Sunday 16th November at 6pm with the winner notified before Friday 8th December.
