TalkTalk responds to Ofcom's announcement as the regulatory authority backs down on easier switching: Helping people to shop around and secure the right deal.
A TalkTalk spokesperson said:
"Ofcom’s abrupt u-turn on telecoms switching is a major blow for consumers. Ofcom’s own research shows that nearly 8 in 10 people who consider changing providers don’t do it because it’s so difficult, leaving consumers suffering poor service and high prices. After years of promising action, it is disappointing that Ofcom has instead bowed to industry pressure and decided that protecting the status quo is more important than protecting consumers.”
