TalkTalk reaffirms digital credentials with Decoded partnership

TalkTalk partners with Decoded to bring coding to all employees

TalkTalk has teamed up with Decoded to launch a year long digital training programme for employees. The programme aims to empower individuals and cultivate the company’s digital first culture.

TalkTalk staff will be able to participate in monthly thought-provoking masterclasses in coding, data, future technology and cyber security. The training will be open to all employees and Decoded will also run immersive workshops blending elements from all four masterclasses.

The move forms a significant part of TalkTalk’s Great Place to Work strategy, which has seen the broadband, TV, mobile and phone provider introduce a number of new initiatives over the last 12 months to drive employee engagement and champion innovation.

Nigel Sullivan, Group HR Director at TalkTalk commented: “Making TalkTalk an even better place to work is a huge priority for us and developing our people plays a big part of that. As a digital first company, we are huge believers that the internet is a force for good and building digital expertise can truly transform our business. Decoded are an exciting company to be working with; they understand our business and share our entrepreneurial spirit. I firmly believe we can achieve great things together”

Kathryn Parsons, Co-Founder and Co-CEO Decoded added: “Digital transformation of the workplace begins with people. Educating individuals about the landscape of the digital world is becoming increasingly essential as we enter a future digital economy.  We'll be going deep behind the screen to understand the worlds of code, data, hardware and cyber security, getting hands-on with the technologies transforming every single industry and all our lives.  We'll be empowering people with knowledge to reveal the limits of what is possible in the digital world and to harness its power for innovation and disruption”.

The partnership compliments and builds on TalkTalk’s Digital Heroes Foundation which works to make Britain better off through the positive use of technology; be it campaigning to get more people online, or seeking out and recognising little and local digital projects that make a real difference to their community through the TalkTalk Digital Heroes Awards.
