TalkTalk Business tests voice solution with major contact centre operator Ventura.

The leading provider of Next Generation Technology in the UK unveils SIP proposition with the help of key partner.

TalkTalk Business unveils an enhanced SIP proposition this week to the channel, after a successful trial with a top UK customer management outsourcing company.

TalkTalk Business has introduced its Voice over Ethernet solution using SIP technology to partners after a test with Ventura, which is responsible for 50 million annual customer contacts through seven contact centres.

After an intense period of user acceptance testing, TalkTalk Business can now unveil the channel solution, which utilises the same failsafe technology and resilience expected from TalkTalk Business’ robust Next Generation Network. Resellers will now be able to offer a connection to the PSTN which can handle 750 calls simultaneously and deliver business grade voice services over a data infrastructure.

TalkTalk Business’ Head of VoIP, PBX and Mobile Product Management Ken Bailey said:

“When any contact centre operation looks to improve its network, it’s vital that quality of service is maintained. SIP offers voice quality that is identical to ISDN and can be implemented in tandem with an existing network; as ISDN is phased out at a contact centre in favour of SIP, the transition will not affect traffic or service levels.

“Also, using this new solution, end users can introduce a solution with in-built disaster recovery and excellent resilience whilst saving money as they consolidate connections and streamline their IP-PBX and contact centre equipment.

“True business grade delivery of voice using SIP trunking has bolstered the TalkTalk Business portfolio whilst the available value added services – such as intelligent call routing, call statistics and call queuing - can be added, even after the solution goes live.”
