We support by putting a lot of effort into harnessing the enthusiasm and creativity of some very important and clever people.
Our customers
We make donations to registered charities when customers use our products in certain ways.
- We donate 1p for every call to Ambitious about Autism for every call to our UK directory enquiries service on 118 111.
- We donate 35p to Cool Earth each time a TalkTalk customer adds Global Minutes Boost to their account.
Our people
Our Give Something Back programme empowers our people to raise money and/or volunteer their skills on the company’s time. Whether it’s a sponsored cycle ride between our London and Manchester offices for Ambitious about Autism, our Finance teams taking over competing Marie Curie Cancer Care stores, or supporting another charity close to their heart, we’ll support them with our time and money.
Our suppliers
For several years, we have been proud that our suppliers and partners have joined us at the annual fundraising auction, hosted by our directors, for Ambitious about Autism. The November 2011 auction – the Night of Ambition – raised over £200,000. If you supply or partner with us and want to attend a future auction, or wish to donate a unique lot to go under the gavel, then please contact Ambitious about Autism.

Our new communities
2011 saw us bring our Next Generation Network to hundreds of new telephone exchanges as part of our local loop unbundling programme. Each new addition sees our best value broadband and phone services become available to thousands of families and businesses for the first time.
To celebrate our arrival in these communities, we make an investment in something important to them. In 2011 we supported over 300 local communities in this way, directly investing over £150,000 in projects. This included support for over 150 youth and ladies football teams, 60 community centres, 40 rugby and cricket clubs, 16 sports and leisure centres, 40 Christmas lights ceremonies and numerous allotments and gardening projects.
